It was sought to move away from the usual scheme of houses attached to other houses, so the social area and garden were worked with a lattice that allows transparency from side to side of the property.
Visual openings
Located south of Mexico City, Carrizal is a project that starts from the client’s needs to develop eight residential houses on the same property. The project is conceived as a set of houses connected by a common central axis. Looking to get away from the scheme of houses attached to houses, the social area and garden were worked with block that allows transparency from side to side of the property. The result, a feeling of openings between solid and long visuals throughout the project. The placing of trees that were already there was crucial to the division of the plot in symmetrical parts. The house’s program includes a ground floor, in which the public could take place, that has a view to the two outside yards for each individual lot; furthermore, the last floor has a terrace.
