Renovation and light

Casa Baeza is an ode to renovation and light. Located in San Miguel de Allende, this residence underwent a metamorphosis through the introduction of the so-called ‘linternillas,’ light chimneys that radiate within the space.

The incorporation of this series of linternillas not only served to infuse the spaces with luminosity but also completely transformed the previous atmosphere. The volumetrics of these linternillas add a distinctive touch to the rooftop, endowing it with elements that turn it into a space for contemplation. The implementation of these volumetric elements resulted in a rooftop that can be inhabited with various paths.

A fundamental detail in the project is the respect for the architectural elements of the old house. The transformation does not erase its past.
