Ensuring the conservation of the surrounding pine trees was crucial to seamlessly integrate the project with its environment, as these trees played a defining role in shaping the character of the two volumes within the location.

A cabin in the woods

A log cabin raised on stilts, located in the heart of the Peñón in Valle de Bravo. The house is distinguished by its two triangular volumes that follow the natural slope of the land. This architecture is perfectly integrated into its surroundings, among the trees, opening up to the surrounding landscape, the intimate space blurs the boundary between the interior and the exterior. The materiality of the cabin has been designed with a black burned wood to link with the natural environment. This rest cabin is presented as a refuge where the attention is focused exclusively on the natural beauty that surrounds it. It is an ideal place for the contemplation of the nature of the Rock.
