Earth walls on a central role
Located in Todo Santos, Baja California Sur, this house redefines the relationship between architecture and the natural environment. Here, earth walls take on a central role, playing a fundamental part in their integration with the context and climate.
The use of earth walls not only provides seamless visual integration with the surrounding landscape but also addresses the region’s climatic demands. These walls function as natural temperature regulators, offering thermal insulation and maintaining a comfortable indoor environment.
Every aspect of the design has been conceived with a staggered layout, allowing the space to be explored and experienced in its entirety. The rooftops are not mere ceilings but inhabitable spaces that transform into expansive terraces, inviting contemplation and connection with the landscape.
An elevated courtyard serves as the focal point of the public areas, while private volumes remain independent, ensuring privacy and functionality in each space.”
