From the terrace, the views and the desert's topography become an integral part of the experience...
A frame for the surrounding nature
Located in Palm Springs, the terrain itself presents both a challenge and an opportunity: a hill that stood in the way of breathtaking panoramic views. The solution was bold and creative: a tunnel excavated through the hill to allow passage to the side with the views.
From the terrace, the views and the desert’s topography become an integral part of the experience, and the architecture serves as a frame for the surrounding nature.
While the private areas of the house remain discreet and protected, with carefully positioned openings to frame the most stunning views, the public areas generously open up to the pool and the desert environment. This duality between the enclosed and the open, the private and the public, defines the essence of Palm Springs architecture.
