A friendly, mixed-use space designed to bring people together and promote cycling in the city.

A bicycle store / café

Distrito Fijo CC is a departmental project in Juarez, Mexico City. The architectural focus is on creating a continuous passage that connects the different services within the space, which include a café, a bicycle store/exhibition space, and a bicycle repair workshop.

The project aims to serve as a meeting point for the local cycling community and promote alternative transportation in the city. Neutral and raw materials such as exposed concrete, pine wood, and metal are used throughout the architecture and fixed furniture, allowing the cycling equipment and bicycles to stand out in the space.

The architectural scheme is divided into three sections across three half floors. The café is on the ground floor, directly accessible from the street and pedestrian area. The store and exhibition space are situated on the first floor, serving as a communal eating area and hosting film screenings and group discussions once a week. Finally, the bicycle repair workshop is found on the upper level.
